Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a boss? What are the application requirements?

This campaign is open to all female-identifying women of any age who are serious about their careers and their online presence and would like to be included among the elite women taking part in this unique experience. You do not need to own a business or be a boss to participate.

Where is the portrait studio located?

TBD

How is this different from a regular photo session with you?

The photoshoot portion is the same. But this package also includes a written interview about you and your business published online and in a spread in the Boss Babes Magazine, a copy of the magazine with you on the cover of your copy, a social media shoutout, and admission to the Boss Babes cocktail reception.

Can I be photographed with my family or a colleague?

Absolutely! If you have a partner, mother, sister, or children that you'd like to be photographed with, they can arrive with you or towards the end of your session for some portraits together. There's no extra charge to include them in your session! Your session fee includes one makeover. Including more people? Hair and makeup services can be added on for an additional $220 per person.

Who does hair and makeup?

We bring in a licensed cosmetologist experienced in both hair and makeup to give our clients gorgeous makeovers. Photoshoot makeup is completely different from everyday makeup and the artists we work with know exactly what works best with our lighting to make you look fabulously photogenic.

I need to lose weight and don't feel like myself.

You're not alone. In fact, most women have concerns about their body. With the right undergarments, posing, lighting, camera lenses, and post-production retouching, we can bring out your best self. The self you want to show the world.

What do I wear?

We mail you an extensive wardrobe guide that will give you plenty of ideas on what to pick for your photoshoot. We'll also be meeting in advance of the session to go over all the details and talk about wardrobe. In the meantime, think about your imaging goals for your marketing and the resulting looks you want to be represented. You'll have the opportunity to be photographed in up to five outfits. You might want to do a business formal look, business casual, something fun and trendy, lingerie, a cocktail dress or elegant gown, or something basic like jeans and a t-shirt.

Do I have to live in Denver to participate?

Nope.

When will the magazine be published?

The Boss Babes magazine will go to print after the last photoshoot has been photographed and will be ready for pick up at the campaign finale party Saturday, October 7th.

Where is the magazine distributed?

The Boss Babes Magazine is a short-run keepsake print publication featuring interviews from this year's participants. It is distributed to the Boss Babes and any additional copies they purchase for family, friends, and clients.

Do I get to pick which photos go into the magazine?

Our designer will compile your interview and determine the best layout for your article. They will then choose the best portraits for the magazine from the collection of images that you've purchased.
